The Jinchanggouliang region belongs to the Nuluerhushan metallogenic belt on the northern margin of the North China Platform. It is a branch of the Nuluerhushan Mountains and a national large-scale gold deposit with a long mining history. In 1958, a mine was officially established. In 2013, Inner Mongolia Jintao officially joined China National Gold Group Co., Ltd. At that time, Jintao had a gold metal reserve of 32.5 tons. Over the past decade, the company has produced an average of 1.4 tons of gold annually, with a cumulative production of 14.65 tons. Under such intense resource exploitation, there are still proven gold metal reserves of 27.2 tons, and the prospective gold metal reserves reach up to 55 tons.
