Jintao Gold Mine is situated in Jinchanggouliang Town at the southern end of Aohan Banner. The Jinchanggouliang region belongs to the Nuluerhushan metallogenic belt on the northern margin of the North China Platform. It is a branch of the Nuluerhushan Mountains and a national large-scale gold deposit with a long mining history. In 1958, a mine was officially established. In 2013, Inner Mongolia Jintao officially joined China National Gold Group Co., Ltd. At that time, Jintao had a gold metal reserve of 32.5 tons. Over the past decade, the company has produced an average of 1.4 tons of gold annually, with a cumulative production of 14.65 tons. Under such intense resource exploitation, there are still proven gold metal reserves of 27.2 tons, and the prospective gold metal reserves reach up to 55 tons.

Business Challenges

Complex natural environment

Non-coal mines are characterized by numerous locations, extensive areas, and long lines. The hydrogeological conditions are complex and the disaster resistance capacity is weak. Natural conditions such as climate and terrain pose challenges to the safe production of mines.

Complex safety management

The management of gold mines is complex and there are a large number of personnel. Traditional supervision methods rely on manual labor, which is inefficient and easily influenced by human factors. There are blind spots in safety management, and intelligent means are needed to enhance supervision efficiency.

Application Solution

To meet the safety production requirements of gold mines, Corerain offers an integrated AI video analytics solution for the safety production monitoring and early warning system of Jintao Gold Mine. The kit comprises an AI inference platform, AI algorithms, AI video analysis platform, and a 64-channel video intelligent analysis system. It assists the gold mine in implementing unified intelligent management of the videos in the mining area. Algorithms such as fire and smoke detection, falls and slips detection, safety helmet detection, and smoking behavior monitoring are deployed to conduct effective 7*24-hour supervision of environmental risks and personnel behaviors.

Implementation results

This project has integrated the cameras of four mines of Jintao. With 64 channels deployed on each server, it has successfully realized intelligent supervision of safe production, enabling timely detection of violations and safety risks. The alarm accuracy reaches 95%, and the safety management efficiency is increased by 60%.

Moreover, it can set alarm thresholds for single-channel videos and algorithms, flexibly meeting the individualized needs of customers.
